Hannah's Baptism: Day 48 (1/23/11)

Hannah's Baptism.  Hannah was wearing Valerie's baptism dress!
The whole family got to come up and watch Hannah be baptized!  Daddy got to hold Hannah as Pastor Jon was talking!  Mommy was holding Terri Lynn,  and Martin, Sam, Cassie, Heidi, Valerie, and Nathan were all eagerly waiting to see Hannah be baptized!

Pastor Jon gave a very touching talk about how meaningful this baptism was to him and the rest of the congregation!  Hannah was a blessing to all our church family.  Hannah was apart of the family of God!  We always shared Hannah wait our family at church!
More pictures of Pastor Jon sharing!

Precious pictures! Precious Memories!
I love this picture of Pastor Jon holding Hannah in his arms!  He is getting ready to sprinkle the water as a symbol of baptism!
Pastor Jon sprinkling water on Hannah's sweet head as a symbol of baptism.  Our promise as parents to raise Hannah in God's Word and train her to know Jesus as her precious savior!
I love this picture too!  I love to see how gentle Pastor Jon was with Hannah.  Hannah touch Pastor Jon tenderly in his heart!
Cassie played "Amazing Grace" right after Hannah was baptized, and while the rest of the family walked through the church.
Cassie, Hannah's beautiful oldest sister!  Cassie did a beautiful job playing the piano!  Cassie will always treasure the time she played for Hannah!
Cassie walking to do play the piano!
While Cassie was playing, the rest of the family walked through church.  While we walked, our church family, loved on us and Hannah!  They welcomed Hannah in to the church family of God!
Later in the day at home in Beppe's arms!

Hannah's Baptism

Today was Hannah's big day.  What a blessing to have Hannah baptised today.  There was a time when I though Hannah would not make it today!  But God blessed us with the priviledge of being able to have Hannah baptised!

Rick took the older kids to Sunday School in the morning, while Hannah, Beppe, Pake and I got ready in the morning.  We came to church and hour later.  I always get nervous when one of our children are baptised!  I get nervous because I just don't know how the babies will do before, during and after the baptism.  I also get nervous over the fact that I have to stand in front of church.  I just don't like being of front of a bunch of people!  But today I was excited because we have the privilege of actually getting to baptise Hannah Grace!

When we got to church we sat down,  Rick's mom was there with Aunt Jill and Aunt Janet.  Our sweet friends Rick and Michele and their children Grady and Kyle also came to watch.  It was so special to us to have our family and friends as well as our church family there to witness this very special day!

During the church service our family went up in front of church with Rick tenderly holding Hannah Grace.  Pastor Jon gave a very touching talk about Hannah and how he felt so privilege to be the one to baptise Hannah.  I was told there was hardly a dry eye in the congregation.  This baptism touched many who were there.  Our church family prayed faithfully for Hannah even before she was born!  So this moment was so special to so many!

When the sacrament of Baptism was done, Cassie played Amazing Grace on the piano as Rick, Hannah, Martin, Sam, Heidi, Valerie, Nathan, Terri Lynn and I walked through church.  Our church family gave us hugs, special words, special thoughts for Hannah and our children.  This was a special time and a special remembrance!

When Cassie was done playing her song, Denise, Karen and Beth sang a special song for Hannah!  I can't remember the song but when I do I will list it here.  It was a very beautiful and touching song!

Hannah was so good during the church service!  That was a treat for me too!

After church was over, we went home.  Grandma had prepared a very special meal.  We all got to enjoy a meal and special company to celebrate Hannah Grace Kwant!

Thank you to Sid and Alice, Grandma, Aunt Jill, Aunt Janet,  Beppe and Pake, Rick, Michele, Grady and Kyle for coming to see Hannah be baptised!  What a blessing it is to know you cared so much to some see Hannah's special day!  Thanks also for coming to visit us for lunch too!  We love you all!

Matthew 19:13-15
13 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” 15 And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.

Love you Sweet Hannah!  I treasure every memory of you!,  Sandi Kwant (Hannah's mommy)
